Luxury Yacht Rental Dubai: Private Charter by the Hour

Private yacht charter in Dubai from AED 380 an hour, with the captain, crew, fuel and marina fees already in the rate. This is whole-boat hire rather than a seat on a shared cruise: you book by the hour, decide when you leave and roughly where you go, and the deck belongs to your group for the duration.

How the pricing actually works

The rate is per boat, not per person, which changes the arithmetic completely once you are more than a couple. Smaller vessels start at the rate above and it rises with size, so a yacht comfortable for twelve to fifteen guests sits considerably higher. Because you are paying for the boat, the cost per head falls sharply as the group grows.

The practical crossover point is around six people. Below that, a shared dinner cruise is better value and includes food. At six or more, a charter starts to land in the same range per head, and you are no longer tied to someone else's departure time, route or menu.

Choosing a size

Every vessel carries a certified maximum number of persons, and that figure is set by the boat rather than by us. We confirm the limit for yours in writing before you book, so count your group honestly including children.

What you sail past

Most charters leave from Dubai Marina or Dubai Harbour, along a stretch of coast unusually dense with landmarks. A two-hour run typically covers the Marina canal, the outer crescent of Palm Jumeirah, Atlantis The Palm, Bluewaters Island with Ain Dubai, and the Burj Al Arab from the water. Longer charters continue along the Jumeirah coast or out towards the World Islands.

Two hours is the usual minimum and it is genuinely enough for the Marina, the Palm and the Burj Al Arab at a relaxed pace. Three hours is the first point at which you can add a proper swimming stop without rushing the rest.

How the booking works

1. Tell us guest numbers and how many hours you want.
2. We match you to a vessel with the right capacity and deck layout.
3. The captain proposes a route and adjusts it on the day for sea conditions and for you.
4. Swimming stops, fishing time and photo pauses are arranged on board as you go.

Food, drink and occasions

Soft drinks, water and ice are standard. Catering runs from a platter to a barbecue cooked on board, and it has to be arranged before departure rather than decided on the day, because the crew provision for it in advance. Alcohol is permitted on private charters and can be supplied on request.

Decoration for birthdays, anniversaries and proposals is straightforward with notice. Tell us what you are planning and the crew sets it up before you board, so you are not arranging anything in front of the person it is meant for.

Practical notes

• Charter time runs from your booked slot, not from the moment you step aboard. Arrive twenty minutes early.
• Soft soles or bare feet on deck. Hard soles are not permitted on most yachts.
• Sea conditions are calmest from October to April, though charters run all year.
• Towels and basic snorkelling gear are carried as standard.
• The captain may shorten or reroute a charter for safety, and will discuss it with you first.
• If the coastguard restricts sailing, you are offered another date or a full refund.

The mistake people make

Booking two hours for a group of twenty. The time is consumed by boarding, a safety briefing and getting twenty people settled before the boat has gone anywhere, and then you are turning back. Large groups should start at three hours. Small groups can do a lot in two.

The other one is leaving catering until the day. There is no shop on the water, so a charter without arranged food means a group of people getting hungry an hour offshore.

Other ways onto the water

For a fixed price with dinner included and no planning, the Dubai Marina dinner cruise is the shared alternative.
