Abu Dhabi City Tour With Ferrari World

Abu Dhabi sits about 90 minutes down the coast from Dubai, and this full-day tour gives you the capital's landmarks and its biggest thrill park in a single run — with no driving, no parking and no working out which road goes where. The vehicle is private to your group, so the day runs at your pace instead of a coach timetable's.

The day is built around three things: the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, a drive through the capital's waterfront and palace district, and an afternoon on Yas Island at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.

Your day, hour by hour

• 8:30 AM — Pickup in Dubai. Your driver-guide collects you from your hotel or residence and heads south on the E11 coastal highway.
• 10:00 AM — Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Around 90 minutes inside the capital's most photographed building, including the main prayer hall and the reflective pools along the colonnade.
• 11:45 AM — Abu Dhabi Corniche. A slow drive along the eight-kilometre waterfront, with the city skyline on one side and the Gulf on the other.
• 12:15 PM — Emirates Palace. Photo stop at the gates of the capital's landmark hotel, set in its own gardens above a private beach.
• 1:00 PM — Lunch break. Your driver-guide will suggest options near Yas Island. Meals are at your own expense.
• 2:00 PM — Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. You are dropped at the entrance on Yas Island with around four hours inside. Entry tickets are not included in the tour price — see below.
• 6:00 PM — Drive back to Dubai. Your driver collects you from the same entrance.
• 7:30 PM — Drop-off at your hotel or residence.

Timings shift with traffic on the Sheikh Zayed Road and with how long you want at each stop. Tell your driver-guide on the day if you would rather move faster or linger.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

The mosque holds around 40,000 worshippers and took eleven years to build. Inside are 82 domes, more than a thousand columns inlaid with mother-of-pearl, and the largest hand-knotted carpet in the world — a single piece covering the main prayer hall. The white marble courtyard, the floral inlay running across it and the reflective pools along the outer colonnade are the shots most people come for.

There is a dress code and it is enforced at the entrance. Shoulders and knees covered for everyone; women also need a headscarf. Bring one or borrow one free at the gate.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

Ferrari World sits under a 200,000-square-metre red roof on Yas Island, the largest of its kind anywhere. The headline ride is Formula Rossa, the fastest roller coaster in the world, which reaches 240 km/h in under five seconds — fast enough that you are handed safety goggles before boarding. Alongside it are Flying Aces, Turbo Track and a set of slower family rides, plus galleries of Ferrari road and racing cars.

Ferrari World entry tickets are not included in the AED 699. You can buy them at the gate on the day, or tell us when you book and we will arrange them for you at the current gate rate and hand them over at pickup — whichever is easier for you.

Why book this as a private group tour

AED 699 is the price for the whole vehicle, not per person. Two of you pay the same as six, so the cost per head falls the larger your group — which is usually where a private car works out cheaper than per-seat tickets on a shared coach. You also skip the hotel-by-hotel pickup loop that a shared tour starts with, which is typically an hour of the morning gone before you leave Dubai.

• Pickup is from any hotel or residence in Dubai. Add the address at checkout and we confirm your exact time the evening before.
• Bring passports or Emirates IDs. You are crossing into another emirate and ID is occasionally requested.
• Ferrari World's closing time changes by season and during public holidays. We check it before your date and adjust the afternoon if needed.
• The mosque closes to visitors on Friday mornings for prayers. Friday departures start later and we will tell you in advance.
• Child seats are available free of charge — request them when you book.
