Dubai Airport (DXB) to Ras Al Khaimah Transfer

Why this route needs its own booking

Ras Al Khaimah is a different emirate, roughly 110 kilometres north of Dubai International. That puts it outside the range where a metered Dubai taxi makes sense: inter-emirate fares climb quickly, some drivers decline the trip at the rank, and you are negotiating at the kerb after a long flight. A fixed-fare private transfer removes all of that and takes you door to door without changing vehicles at the border.

If your destination is inside Dubai, use the standard DXB airport transfer instead — it is priced for the shorter run.

The drive

The route runs north on Emirates Road or Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road through Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain before crossing into Ras Al Khaimah. In normal conditions it takes 75 to 105 minutes. The stretch through Sharjah is the variable part — weekday evenings and Friday afternoons can add half an hour.

Arrival at DXB

We track your flight, so the pickup follows the actual landing time rather than the timetable. The driver meets you inside the arrivals hall with a name board and helps with luggage. You have 60 minutes of free waiting from touchdown, which covers immigration and baggage on a normal day.

What it costs against the alternatives

There is no direct public transport from DXB to Ras Al Khaimah. An inter-emirate bus involves changing in Sharjah with luggage and takes upwards of three hours. A metered taxi will do the run but the fare is open-ended and drivers can decline it. Car hire adds a rental desk queue on arrival and the problem of parking at a resort you will not leave. For a one-way arrival transfer with bags, a fixed-fare private car is usually both the cheapest predictable option and the fastest.

Practical notes

• Confirm your RAK hotel name at booking — resort entrances on Al Marjan Island are spread out
• Child seats are available on request at no extra charge
• For the return leg to DXB, allow four hours before an international departure given the drive plus check-in
• Early-morning departures from RAK are available and should be booked the day before
• Larger groups are carried in a van or minibus — give us headcount and bag count

Coming from the other airport

If you are landing at Al Maktoum rather than DXB, the DWC transfer covers that airport — note that DWC is further from Ras Al Khaimah, so quote the route when booking. For a vehicle you keep for the whole day rather than a single leg, the full-day private car with driver is the more flexible option.
