Dubai Airport Transfer (DXB): Private Car and Meet Greet

A private transfer from Dubai International, from AED 240, with a driver waiting inside arrivals holding your name, flight tracking and 60 minutes of free waiting from touchdown. The fare is fixed before you fly, so there is no meter and no surge pricing at the end of a long flight.

Check which airport first

Dubai has two international airports and they are about 60 kilometres apart. This page covers Dubai International, DXB, in Garhoud, which handles the large majority of passenger flights across Terminals 1, 2 and 3. If you are landing at Al Maktoum in Dubai South you need the Al Maktoum transfer instead, because the distances and the fares are not interchangeable.

You do not need to work out your terminal yourself. Give us the flight number when you book and we match the terminal and the arrival time to it.

Why book ahead rather than join the taxi queue

DXB has a working taxi rank and it is perfectly usable, so the honest case for pre-booking comes down to three things.

• The queue at peak arrival banks can run twenty to thirty minutes, and arrivals cluster.
• App pricing surges at exactly the moment several wide-bodied aircraft land together.
• A metered fare is unknown until you arrive at your hotel.

A pre-booked transfer fixes the price, puts a driver inside the terminal holding your name, and removes every decision from the end of a long flight. If you are travelling light, awake and not in a hurry, the rank is fine. With luggage, children or a late landing, it is not.

How the pickup works

We track your flight from departure, so your driver's arrival is tied to when the aircraft actually lands rather than when it was scheduled to. Your driver waits inside the arrivals hall with a name board, helps with the luggage and walks you to the vehicle rather than meeting you at the kerb.

You get 60 minutes of free waiting from touchdown, which covers immigration and baggage reclaim on a normal day. If you are delayed, nothing needs to happen on your side and there is no rebooking fee.

Journey times from DXB

• Deira and Bur Dubai: 10 to 20 minutes
• Downtown and Business Bay: 20 to 30 minutes
• Jumeirah and Al Barsha: 25 to 35 minutes
• Palm Jumeirah: 30 to 40 minutes
• Dubai Marina and JBR: 35 to 45 minutes

Those assume normal conditions. The weekday rush between 5pm and 8pm, and Friday evenings, can add twenty minutes or more. We build that into the pickup rather than leaving you to discover it.

Vehicles

The standard vehicle takes up to six passengers with two or three pieces of luggage. That is the combination worth checking before you book: six passengers each with a large suitcase will not fit, and a bigger vehicle is available on request.

So give us the headcount and the bag count when you book, rather than the headcount alone. It is the single most common cause of a problem on arrival.

Sorting that out in the DXB pickup area at one in the morning is not a good start to a holiday.

Child seats

Available on request at no extra charge for up to two children. Ask when you book and tell us the ages, so your driver arrives with the right seats already fitted. Requesting them on the day rarely works, because the seats are not carried as standard.

Booking the return leg

Book both directions together and we schedule the return against your departure time rather than asking you to work backwards from it. For an international departure from DXB, allow three hours before the flight, and more in the evening peak.

DXB is a large airport and Terminal 3 in particular involves a long walk from the kerb to the gate, so the three hours is not padding.

What is not included

• Gratuities, which are never expected.
• Extra stops en route. Tell us in advance if you need one and we will quote it.
• Child seats for more than two children.
• Al Maktoum, which is a separate booking.

If you need more than a transfer
