Ferrari World Abu Dhabi: Rides, Height Limits & Tips 2026

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi was the world's first Ferrari-branded theme park, and its huge red roof is one of the most recognisable sights on Yas Island. Almost the whole park sits underneath it, which matters more than it sounds: this is a theme park you can enjoy even in July. This guide ranks the rides, lists the height limits, and explains how to plan a day so you spend more time riding and less time queuing.

The best thrill rides at Ferrari World

Formula Rossa

The ride most people come for. It launches you from 0 to 240 km/h in 4.9 seconds, using a hydraulic launch system, and it still holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest launch. For 15 years it was also the fastest roller coaster in the world, until Falcon's Flight in Saudi Arabia took that title at the end of 2025. Protective goggles are mandatory, because at that speed dust and insects become a real hazard. The ride is short, and the launch is the whole point.

Ride it first. It has the longest queue in the park, and the queue builds within half an hour of opening. Minimum height is 140 cm.

Flying Aces

A wing coaster themed around 1920s aviation, with the world's tallest non-inverting loop. It's slower and more sustained than Formula Rossa, and for many visitors it's the better ride overall. Minimum height is 130 cm.

Turbo Track

A vertical launch that fires you up through an opening in the roof and drops you back inside. It's short and intense, and the queue usually moves well. Minimum height is 130 cm.

Mission Ferrari

The park's newest major attraction, opened in 2023. It's a story-driven coaster that combines track sections, a drop and special effects, and it's the most ambitious ride technically in the park. Minimum height is 130 cm.

Fiorano GT Challenge

Two side-by-side coasters that race each other, themed around Ferrari's Fiorano test track. It's a good choice if you want to compete with a friend. Minimum height is 130 cm.

Ferrari World skews taller and older than its family marketing suggests, so check heights before you plan a day around it.

Many family rides allow shorter children if they ride with an adult. Exact accompaniment rules are posted at each ride.

Ferrari World rides for younger children

There's more for younger children than most people expect, as long as you know where to look:

• Formula Rossa Junior and Speedway Race (from 90 cm): a small coaster and mini race cars for the youngest riders.
• Flying Wings and Turbo Tower (from 105 cm): child-sized versions of Flying Aces and Turbo Track.
• Junior Grand Prix (110–140 cm): children drive their own small Ferrari F1-style car.
• Benno's Great Race and Bell'Italia: gentle family rides, good for a break on a busy afternoon.

Beyond the rides

• Made in Maranello: a ride through a recreation of Ferrari's historic factory in Maranello, Italy.
• Roof Walk: a guided walk across the top of the park's famous red roof, booked separately.
• Live shows and Italian-themed dining under the main roof, which make a good break from the queues.

How to plan your day at Ferrari World

1. Arrive at opening and go straight to Formula Rossa.
2. Ride Flying Aces second, before the mid-morning crowds arrive.
3. Do the indoor rides and shows through the hottest part of the day.
4. Visit the family rides mid-afternoon, when queues usually shorten.
5. Re-ride your favourites in the last hour, when the park empties.

Weekdays during school term are much quieter than weekends and school holidays. A full day is realistic; half a day only works if you're targeting three or four specific rides.

Is Ferrari World indoors?

Mostly. The main hall is climate-controlled, but Formula Rossa and Flying Aces run partly outside the roof, and some queue areas aren't air-conditioned. In July and August, that's worth thinking about. Warner Bros. World is entirely indoors, which is why the combo ticket suits a summer trip.

Getting to Ferrari World from Dubai

Yas Island is roughly 60 to 90 minutes by road from Dubai, depending on where you start and the traffic. There's no rail link, so driving or a booked car are the realistic options.

Every park on Yas Island empties at the same time at closing, so taxis are hard to find. A full-day private car with driver waits for you and takes the stress out of getting home.
